Antique Persian Lavar Kerman carpet

This is a Lavar Kerman rug, a fine and rare Persian carpet from Lavar town in Kerman province, Iran. It was made in the late 19th or early 20th century with hand-spun wool and natural dyes. It has a floral medallion in the center and a dense field of flowers, vines, and palmettes in red, blue, green, and ivory. The border has multiple bands of floral and geometric motifs. The wool is soft and lustrous, and the pile is even and thick, showing that the rug is in good condition. The rug is large and impressive, and would add elegance and beauty to any room. It is a valuable collector’s item, as Lavar Kerman rugs are among the finest and most desirable of all Persian carpets.
