Heriz -Karaja rug

The vintage antique Heriz-Karaja rug, originating from Heriz, Northwestern Iran, is a remarkable piece of art crafted by Azerbaijan Turkish inhabitants. Hand-woven in the Bagschaich region, these rugs are known for their soft earth-tone colors and geometric patterns. They are durable and hard-wearing, often lasting for generations. The toughness of Heriz carpets is partly due to the copper deposits in Mount Sabalan, which produce high-quality wool. Heriz rug weavers create geometric, bold patterns with a large medallion dominating the field. The basic tone of the Heriz Oriental rug is often red, while details are dark blue, radiant white, or elegant beige. These timeless pieces add elegance and sophistication to any space. These rugs are known for their striking geometric designs, vibrant colour palette, and robust construction. They are a prized possession, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of any space they adorn.
