Malayer Rug with Electric Blue Field

This Rug comes from Malayer, a city in Iran.  Made in the 1900, this Rug depicts two rows with a succession of connected medallions with a blossom in the centre surrounded by small Boteh and flowers. The field has an electric blue that vibrates with the warm colours of the patterns.
